What Happens In The Show


The way the show is laid out it starts off with Áine Uí Cheallaigh (vocalist) singing in Irish and then a Slip jig music comes on and Jean Butler comes on and Dances in light shoes and after that Michael Flatley skips on and does a piece in his hard shoes, while Jean goes off and changes her shoes and costume and then everyone comes on stage and dances together in hard shoes (treble shoes) for the finale and it ends with one big long line of dancers with their arms up.

Composer: Bill Whelan Bill was born on the 22nd may 1950 in Limerick, Ireland.  He attended Cresent College, UCD and the King's Inn while growing up.  He grew up to be an Irish composer and musician and he became famous for composing the music for the famous Irish Dancing show Riverdance. In August 2014, Bill Whelan also composed a symphonic suite version of Riverdance and it was performed by the Ulster Orchestra on BBC Radio 3.      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Whelan Producer:  Moya Doherty Moya Doherty was born in 1957 in Pettigo, County Donegal, Ireland.  She grew up in Dublin and became an Irish entrepreneur and she was the producer and co-founder of the famous Irish dancing show Riverdance.  Before Riverdance she was the owner of a company called Tyrone Productions.
